FDA Needs To Ban Menthol, Too

While the FDA has banned candy and fruit flavorings in cigarettes, they exempted menthol flavoring. Menthol helps mask the harshness of cigarettes. Menthol cigarettes make up a third of the cigarette market. They are increasingly popular among teens, and 80% of black smokers prefer menthol. Is the FDA unfairly allowing Big Tobacco to continue targetting minorities and youth by exempting menthol from the flavorings ban?
