I would consider the INFluence forum yesterday a great success. We had several volunteers help us set up and tear down, and I think I counted 24 people attending. Tom Lux had a great presentation about helping mental health and addiction patients quit smoking, and several audience members asked some really good questions.

Here’s a link to the story Times-Herald reporter Doug Rapp wrote about the event: Tobacco treated as an addiction

After the event, we asked some people to write down what they planned to do with what they learned last night. I haven’t had a chance to look through the replies yet, but I’m excited to see what these people plan to go out and do. It’s going to take all of us working together to make a change; no one person can make it happen.

To all of you who helped with the event, thank you so much. We couldn’t have done it without you.
